I wanted to wish my grandmother a Happy (Belated) Birthday. She would have been 74 this past Monday. I lost her a few months ago, and the last thing I had written this year was her eulogy. She wouldn't have wanted me to give up writing, and with the new year approaching, I'm picking it up again.
This picture is of her and I at a Pumpkin Patch circa 1988 or so. She instilled in me the love of holidays and so much more. I will forever be grateful. Here's to a new year of writing, a new year of spooky, and always remembering where we come from and who helped shape us into the person we are. Mom, I love you and always will.
